The trend, right now, is focusing on preservation. Not only in the environment around us but also ourselves. There are serval techniques and routines coming to the surface that focus on preserving the skin. Aveda has introduced a new skin care line that is focused on just that, Tulasara which is Sanskrit for “moving toward balance”.
Aveda has gone back to basics by reintroducing a technique from ancient Ayurveda, called gharsana. This technique awakens your skin by using, Tulasāra™ Radiant Facial Dry Brush, a ultra-soft nylon bristled brush on your face in circular motions. By doing this motion you are gently exfoliating your skin and sweep away dull surface cells. Leaving your skin feeling soft and prepped for the next step in this ritual.
The second step is inspired by an ayurvedic technique called abhayanga. By using Tulasāra™ Radiant Oleation Oil, massage the oil into your skin after you dry brush and the result will reveal radiant skin while drawing out impurities from the skin. Tulasara Radiant Oleation Oil is a blend of serval different oils including, organic sesame, sunflower, jojoba seed oil, and almond oil. These oils benefit by restoring radiance back into your skin. After you massage the Oleation oil into your skin, you leave it on for four to five minutes, and then cleanse your skin to remove the oils from your skin.
This Awakening Ritual is a wonderful way to start your morning. Not only is the Dry Brush a mini massage for your face, but the aromas of the Oleation Oil is soothing, incising, and energizing.
After only a few weeks of adding the Awakening Ritual into your daily morning routine, you will notice softer, and more radiant skin. Once you see the results of this ritual, you won’t want to stop. It may add a few extra minutes into your morning; but having radiant, smooth skin will be well worth those extra five minutes.
